Regretfully, Effingham Community Store will close on Monday 3rd August at 2pm. Since moving to the Sir Douglas Haig Pub, there has been a reduction in customers visiting the store, and more volunteers are now returning to other work or have other commitments.
One Monday there will be a grand sale with 25% discount of all items. The store will then close at 2pm, and any remaining items will be donated to the Food Bank.
The Freezer and glass fronted Fridge are for sale (one careful owner).

What a shame. Have you considered asking the hub that distributes food to all of Surrey’s shielding residents if they could use the fridge? Now that the Spectrum is reopening, Surrey’s Local Resilience Forum has just had to relocate to the former Youth Centre in Bookham. Councillors Clare Curran and Roger Adams were at the opening, so will have contact details and more information.
