Guildford Local Plan: Effingham could be removed from green belt

Dorking-and-Leatherhead-AdProposals for a 2,000 home “new town” at Wisley Airfield are included in Guildford Borough’ Council’s proposed local plan despite being unanimously rejected by councillors in April.

Further proposals will also see Effingham, East Horsley, West Horsley and land around the airfield all removed from the green belt in a move that could open up the villages to much heavier development in the future.
