The under 8’s playground at the KGV will be opened by Elizabeth Gaunt, the daughter of Sir Barnes Wallis, Effingham’s famous former resident, on Saturday 16th March at 11 am. Everyone is invited to celebrate the opening and enjoy the refreshments.
Turfing and other work was completed this morning on the playground by a group of volunteers who the appeal organisers would like to thank for their time and effort. The playground surfaces now have a week to bed in before the opening.
